Just to let you know that we and the Galaxy made it home safely. The clutch survived the trip, the car is booked in for a check up tomorrow.
We made it to Alencon by 7pm on Weds and then to Dorset by 9:45pm on Thursday. After a couple of nights at my sisters and then my grandfathers 85th birthday party
on Sat afternoon, we made it home last night at 8:30pm, clutching a chinese takeaway, which we consumed watching Monsters Inc!
Thank you so much for making our holiday so relaxing and enjoyable, one of the best bits was having our morning delivery of pain au chocolat!
We hope the rest of the season goes well, and the plans that you have for the lake etc all go according to plan. " |

"Hi Chris and Trudy and girls Spohie and Jess, glad to see the website is back up and running.We have beentelling our friends and family waht a great time we had in France and especially while we were staying at La Motte. We told them all what fab hosts you were and how well you looked after us, from lending us beer to lending us your bathroom to get ready for the wedding! The BBQ was great and there is a pic on my facebook page.Lawrie will try and sort out a link to his website for you and we will try to get round to sending the pics from the bbq. We will defo try to come again and would reccomend the site to anyone travelling to the area.Keep up the good work! Hope to see you all again next year.

"Bonjour! Chris, & Gang,
We are back in the U.K.! We arrived at Calais at about 7.00pm, so not bad going at all, the rain followed us all the way to Boulogne, where it was very windy, but sunny. Well at least for about 1 1/2 hour! We got a slightly earlier train back, and had a chance to unpack the car before dropping on our beds.
We awoke this morning to a typical English summer, and if it makes you feel any better, it is raining heavily and windswept, with gusts of wind currently up to 70mph! At least the rain there is warm! Hope it has brightened up for you now though.
We had a lovely stay at La Motte, and you were indeed the host with the most, you made us feel welcome from the moment we E-Mailed you to book and then right through to the wave at the gate on departure. The barbeque was a great success and a lovely touch to bring everyone together, including the French couple, who have made me more determined than ever to rekindle my French language.
The boys had a great time too, Mason did eventually catch a small lizard, and gave him a lovely vivarium home in a croissant box, but we had to convince him that our bearded dragon lizard, Tango, would not be impressed at sharing his home with something the size of one of his meals, and he said a sad farewell to him on the morning of our departure.
Toby really enjoyed the company of the two girls, (Sophie and ?) especially the unscheduled blackberry picking, and subsequent chocolate coating session, from which he proudly presented a tray of freshly covered blackberries for us to enjoy during our card game.
Thanks for keeping the boys injections cool for us. It was another weight off our minds. The use of the fridge and gas burners was really handy too.
Let us know if there are any reviews we can do for you, and when, if any of the pictures will be available to see on your website from the barbecue. (Toby was so keen he looked this morning, thinking that they instantly appear on there!) Bless him.
Darren is back at work today, and I suppose that is it for another year, but I will be on the web shortly to find a French teacher in my area, so I can brush up on the French, so who knows?

We can't begin to tell you how good our stay with you was. What started out to be a quick over night stay on the way south ended up to be the best 5 days of the entire vacation! ;) All the best to Leslie & Terry and Jane & Derek! Our trip continued a couple of weeks through Provence, Rhône, Bourgogne and Alsace but nowhere was the company, the wine or the trucker stop restaurants :) as wonderful as with you guys. We can barely wait to get back but unfortunately we first have to earn some more vacation days back in Sweden. See you all soon!
